Inside, you’ll find simple explanations, relatable examples, and practical steps that turn confusing legal topics into useful everyday knowledge. It’s the kind of resource that builds independence, strengthens self-advocacy, and reminds teens that their voice matters.

ELLA SHAHBAZIAN

Ella Shahbazian is a 15-year-old author, youth advocate, and founder of Ella’s Angels, a nonprofit organization supporting teens and underserved families across Los Angeles County. A sophomore at Rose and Alex Pilibos School in Hollywood, California, Ella maintains a 4.0 GPA while taking
dual-enrollment college courses and leading multiple student and community projects.

Ella’s passion for justice was shaped by two defining experiences: her visit to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C., and witnessing the ICE raids that took place across Los Angeles in the summer of 2025. These moments sparked her mission to educate and empower young people who may face difficult or confusing situations in their daily lives.

She has earned academic certificates from Yale University, Harvard University, the University of London, and the University of Geneva in law, human rights, economics, and civic engagement. Her
work and advocacy have been highlighted in publications such as the Long Beach Press Telegram, Long Beach Post, Women’s Weekly, and Patch.

Ella believes every young person deserves to feel informed, confident, and protected — and she hopes her writing inspires others to stand up for themselves and their communities.
